Toni was an absolutely superb tour guide for the Trastevere food tour in Rome. The food was incredible, the restaurants felt intimate (we got early entry before the general public for a few of them). Her storytelling is top notch and she is fast paced, in the BEST way. When you go to Rome you want to absorb the culture as best as you can in a short amount of time, and this tour was perfect for that. I also felt there was great camaraderie within our group because Toni started by asking everyone to introduce themselves. This led to great conversations with strangers while we ate great food and drank great wine. Toni was also super caring—I didn’t have my evening plans lined up for after the tour, and she asked me, “How are you getting home?” When I told her I wasn’t sure where I was going, she walked me to the nearest taxi pick up to make sure I was safe. As a 29-year-old solo female traveler, I felt so comforted Toni took the time to care for me. THANK YOU TONI YOU AMAZE ME GO OFF QUEEN 😍

Luca Murphy made this tour ! We had such a fun and delicious 4 hrs. Lots of jokes and stories , plenty of time at each of the seven stops and the restaurant and food choices were top notch. Truly a fabulous experience that should not be missed . I will recommend this to everyone . Great memories were made .

We had such a wonderful time during our pasta-making class with Leo and Marielle in Trastevere! From the moment we arrived, Leo made us feel welcome and created a fun, relaxed atmosphere. His passion for Italian cuisine and culture really came through, and he was incredibly knowable and engaging throughout the experience.
The class was hands-on, informative, and—most importantly—delicious! We learned how to make pasta from scratch, enjoyed some amazing food, and got to connect with others in a beautiful Roman setting. It was truly a highlight of our trip to Rome.
Highly recommend this experience with Eating Europe, especially if you get Leo as your guide. Grazie mille, Leo!

What a great time! My wife and I both had so much fun and enjoyed everything we were offered to try. I won't give it all away, but there's a wide variety and always accompanied by a good wine or beer. Our genuine and gracious guide Giuseppe (Pepe) shared his love and knowledge of the history, food, culture. Seems to be a truly beloved character among his community. It was also really cool that the local shops and restaurants accomodate these tours. When we come back to Rome, we are definitely booking one of these again. 👍

100/10 experience. Delicious food + AMAZING tour Fabienne did an amazing job! She brought Trastevere to life talking about the history and culture and tied in all of the DELICIOUS food we ate and gave us context for each of the dishes. A great experience where you get to learn, eat great food, and meet other people interested in learning and eating. Ask for Fabienne! She makes everything so interesting and easy to understand. Everyone was so comfortable and asking questions throughout.

Such a bonus to kick off our Italian vacay with this Trastevere food and wine tour. All the stops were different and specialized to local foods. Our guide Leo was also a highlight! Very informative, funny and kept the group moving along- with amazing stories and history of the area which was a plus. Definitely recommend! Loved it!!! Thanks Leo!

Delicious and Fun! This was an excellent activity for our last day in Rome and the last day of our honeymoon! Though we wish we did it at the beginning of our time here so we could go back to so many of the stops! Every single stop had delicious food with generous portions and many had wine or beer as well! Miri was a fantastic tour guide- kind, fun, enthusiastic and knowledgeable! We would definitely recommend and wish we could do the whole tour again!

Trastevere is a MUST! Our experience with our tour guide Cillian Murphy, I mean Lucca Murphy, was fantastic! He was warm, funny, and engaging with all the guests in our group. He explained the history of each place we visited and shared personal stories that filled any “lulls” while waiting for food haha! The tour was about 4 hours long (which I didn’t realize or remember after booking lol) but it felt like the right amount of time. Our group was about 11 people in total.
They brought out a tiramisu with a candle to celebrate our honeymoon as well, so sweet! Come with an empty stomach because you WILL be full by the end! I highly recommend doing this tour (and it’s worth the price) because the backstory gives the food much more significance. It’s been fun to pass along the stories now that we are home. AND you beat the lines/skip making reservations to try some of the best eats in town (which you may have never known about)! I miss the Suppli and biscotti already and my husband is still dreaming of the porchetta!! Trastevere is just as magical as Rick Steve’s said.

First time in Rome and on a golf cart foodie tour! Walter was very personable, funny, knowledgeable of the food and culture and kept us entertained and engaged. We were able to explore areas we would not have known about, there many hidden gems! It was fun hanging out with other couples and experiencing the local food and wine together. If you show up late or cannot find the meeting point, for any reason, refund requests are not honored per policy. If you are having a hard time arriving on time we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible so we can do everything in our power to assist you with arriving at the meeting point at the scheduled time or reschedule to the next available tour.
CANCELLATION DUE TO PLANES, TRAINS, AUTOMOBILES OR ILLNESS
Inside of 24 hours, your spot on the tour has been reserved exclusively for you. Since we are unable to fill your spot if you’re unable to attend for any reason (including transportation or illness), we do not offer refunds after that time. Please plan ahead so that you are able to join us and don’t miss out!

AMENDMENT POLICY
We would be happy to assist you with rescheduling your tour, free of charge, with any requests made more than 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of the tour. We reserve the right to charge an amendment fee should you request to reschedule within 24 hours of 8am CET on the date of your tour . Once again, this is subject to availability and price changes. In general, we only charge you for any additional costs that we incur such as tickets. We have no intention of profiting from disruptions to your vacation and will work with providers and suppliers to get this cost reduced to a minimum.
